We strive to educate our patients on lifestyle changes which leads to an improved quality of life.
Pain Management/Injury
Usually pain or a sustained injury is what brings people to a Chiropractic office. In most cases, pain occurring in our back and neck is a result of altered bio-mechanics in our body from our daily activities. Such activities may include poor posture, bending, sitting, walking, running, lifting weights, sleeping without proper support, or stress. It is these daily stresses that Chiropractic focuses on which will ultimately help alleviate the symptoms one might be experiencing. Whether your pain is chronic or sudden in nature, or the result of an accident, our staff at Daniel Family Chiropractic is committed to doing everything we can to alleviate you of your current symptoms and steer you in the right direction.
Wellness
Visiting a doctor when you are feeling great is a new concept for many people. Wellness is the process of taking the steps to obtain and maintain an optimal state of health and wellbeing regardless of whether something is wrong. The wellness approach toward healthcare looks for physical, chemical and emotional disruptions in the body that may or may not be causing symptoms. If these issues are ignored long enough, symptoms may ultimately manifest. This preventative approach has been steadily growing amongst the Chiropractic community. Wellness has physical, nutritional, and emotional components that all need to be balanced and synchronized. While focusing on keeping your musculoskeletal and nervous systems functioning at their best, all health and wellness components are addressed here.
Athletes
As an athlete, it is essential to keep your bio-mechanics in an optimal state of alignment. Whether you are a little leaguer or a Varsity athlete, it is our goal to help you accomplish and achieve everything that you set your mind to. Chiropractic has been endorsed by many professional athletes, Jerry Rice, Tiger Woods, Barry Bonds, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and gold medalist Dan O’Brian have attributed Chiropractic to their success. At Daniel Family Chiropractic, we have treated athletes from the Giants, Jets, Knicks and members of the Women’s Tennis Association.
Children/Adolescent
Children and adolescents are at a pivotal stage of their life. As a child or adolescent grows, there are CONSTANT changes taking place in the structure and alignment of their spine. It is during this stage of a person’s life, that scoliosis and other conditions are most likely to occur. It is also during this stage of person’s life where postural and alignment changes can be most influenced and corrected.
Pregnancy/Webster Technique
During pregnancy, the fetus and uterus is growing exponentially and as a result, causes great stresses on the pelvic structure. The Webster technique is a specific Chiropractic technique utilized at Daniel Family Chiropractic that addresses pelvic dysfunction in women before, during and after pregnancy. By addressing neuromuscular dysfunction in the pelvis, we are able to decrease the aches and pains that a mother typically experiences, and in addition, improve their function
Diet, Nutrition and Exercise Counseling
As a wellness patient, we will do everything we can to help you achieve your optimal state of health and wellbeing. If you desire, we will provide you with diet and nutritional counseling. We will also work together designing an exercise program specifically for you to help accomplish and achieve your goals.
Activator
An Activator instrument is a non-forceful adjusting tool used as an alternative to traditional manipulation of the spine. We typically offer this form of treatment to patients with bone-weakening conditions as they find the activator to be gentle and effective.
Physical Therapy Modalities
We believe physical therapy modalities to be an essential form of therapy for various conditions. Such modalities include ultrasound, interferential current, pre-modulated current, high volt therapy, combo therapy, heat, bio-freeze, ice, and therapeutic exercises.
Myofascial Release Techniques
We use several different muscle techniques including active release and post isometric relaxation. During these techniques, both the doctor and patient work together to help repair damaged soft tissue within the body. Myofascial Release Techniques are particularly therapeutic methods for athletes encountering sports related injuries such as tendonitis and overuse syndrome, however they can benefit almost anyone.
